In a shocking report, the U.S. House says that Alyssa Farah Griffin, co-host of ABC’s “The View” and former Trump spokesperson, may have tampered with witnesses during the hearings on January 6.

The report says Griffin coached important witness Cassidy Hutchinson before she testified, without consulting Hutchinson’s lawyer.

House Subcommittee Chairman Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) says Griffin’s actions went beyond preparation and into illegal territory when he allegedly tried to get Hutchinson to say things that would have the most impact.

Text messages between Griffin and Hutchinson show that they worked together closely, and Griffin is said to have been in touch with Congresswoman Liz Cheney. Griffin answered Hutchinson, “I am happy to tip Liz off,” when Hutchinson asked, “Can you tip off Liz?”

The report says Hutchinson’s testimony changed a lot after these conversations, which makes people question the reliability of the investigation that started on January 6th. Hutchinson’s accusations against Trump became very important to the hearings, but the claims of manipulation could make them less reliable.

If someone goes to court, it could have very bad effects on Griffin and ABC’s “The View.” The network may be looked at more closely after already having to pay $16 million to settle a defamation suit.
